Blogger's Quilt Festival

100_3311

Here is my entry into the festival.  It is a Kimono Quilt I made for my sister when she was going through breast cancer treatments.

I needed a way to focus love and positive energy towards her.  What better way to do that than to sew a quilt.

100_3309I made the obis three dimensional on each kimono.

My dear sister was thrilled with her quilt and displays it on her living room sofa. I am happy to report that she is now four years cancer free.

Hey there, fellow Ontarian - beautiful quilt. I love that I can put love and peace in my quilts as I work on them, and that they carry them forward as they provide comfort in the world. Thank you for sharing.

Hello Diane! I'm so happy to hear that your sister is well!
You have made a fantastic quilt! Kimono is just a perfect figure for a quilt and all the fabrics are so beautiful!
My sister lives in England but met her English husband when living in Japan - I would love to make a small quilt with a kimono to them! Thank you for inspiration!
Sunny wishes from Finnish woman living in Greece! Teje
